Programme overview
Field Research, Bioacoustics and Monitoring is an emerging DESCF research direction focused on careful biodiversity documentation, amphibian diversity learning, habitat observation, and conservation baseline development. The programme is currently marked as in preparation, so it should be presented as a developing research track rather than a completed large-scale project.
Bangladesh needs more accessible biodiversity knowledge built from field observation, species documentation, and responsible conservation communication. Amphibians are especially useful for ecological learning because their presence, calls, and habitat use can reflect wider environmental conditions.
DESCF’s planned work under this programme includes amphibian diversity documentation, bioacoustic monitoring, field-based biodiversity surveys, habitat and microclimate data collection, and conservation baseline development. The aim is to support future research, education, and evidence-informed conservation planning.
Key activities
Activity 1
Amphibian diversity documentation
Activity 2
Bioacoustic monitoring
Activity 3
Field-based biodiversity surveys

Evidence and outputs
Programme outputs should be added only when DESCF can verify them. This protects credibility and avoids inflated impact claims.
